Yesterday’s afternoon fishing on Bobb’s Lake was a complete skunking, but it was still a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. We walked out to the center of the lake in the sunshine and enjoyed great gulps of fresh crisp air. By the time we called it quits, there was a stiff wind and blowing snow. I don’t know if this affects the fish but there were very few showing up on the fish-finder at any depth and we saw absolutely zero.
Today, we had a lot of entertainment value from our trip out to Snag Lake. The snowmobile ride for the last 12 km was a delight as always…both ways. There were a few fish to work with, a few fish to almost make it through the hole, one broken fish line and a lost hook that swam away with a really big one. The end result for the day was one lonely fish for supper and a lot of laughs. So to be sure it was a well spent day.
The sun was shining bright the whole while, the sky a gorgeous blue with big puffy balls of clouds…just another day in paradise. Guess what…we are going ice-fishing again tomorrow!
Today’s “stone” is Day 58 brilliant blue, sparkling white, glistening treetop, ahhh
