Home Cleaner Labels

Here is an email that I got from David Suzuki’s Queen of Green to share:

The results from our home cleaners survey are in!

If you’re like most people, you have no idea what chemicals you use to clean your bathtub.

But it’s not your fault. Only 42 per cent of the cleaning products you told us about in our home cleaners survey displayed a full list of ingredients.

Read a summary of the survey findings and see what a home cleaner label should look like.

Canada doesn’t require ingredient labelling on household cleaners, and that makes it difficult to figure out which products are safe for your family and the environment.

Read our recommendations on what needs to be done to protect our health and the environment from unnecessary exposure to toxic chemicals in household cleaners.

Then, send an email to Canada’s Health Minister, demanding she come clean about what’s inside our home cleaners.
