‘Get the Shell Out of Canada’s Sacred Headwaters’.

Here I have an email call to action from Forest Ethics to share as today’s quote:

  Eldy,

Back in May, thousands of you sent a strong message to Shell following their shareholder meeting. Thanks to our supporters, nearly 10,000 emails have been sent to Shell’s staff, telling them to ‘Get the Shell Out of Canada’s Sacred Headwaters’.

Our sources tell us that this message worked: Shell heard your voices. Now, tell the BC government to protect this important region!

Make sure the government of British Columbia, who has the power to ban Shell and gas drilling from the Sacred Headwaters for good, hears your voice, too. Sign our letter to the decision makers in British Columbia!

Only three months remain in the moratorium on Shell’s plans to drill for gas in the heart of Canada’s salmon rivers.

Add your name to our letter to British Columbia Premier, Christy Clark, and British Columbia Minister of Energy, Mines, and Natural Gas, Rich Coleman, now!

With so much at stake, we must speak up now and reinforce our opposition to Shell fracking with the jobs, communities, salmon, and wildlife that depend on the Sacred Headwaters. Tell British Columbia’s government to ban coalbed methane fracking in the Sacred Headwaters for good—before it’s too late!

Thank you,

Karen Tam Wu
Senior Conservation Campaigner, ForestEthics Advocacy

Shell heard us loud and clear. Let’s make sure British Columbia’s government does, too!

It’s time to set government straight. Add your name to our letter NOW!

I’m headed over that way now to sign their letter to the decision makers of British Columbia.  Won’t you join me.

Today’s “stone” is Day 257  call to action, joining the caring bunch, making a difference, fracking must stop
