Where Once Was Rexy
Ball of fluff, all teeth and temper,
Love burned for him like an ember;
Now hot, now cold, now nearly out
So hard to love his snarly snout.
Known as Rexy, Achmed, and then
The Anti-Christ by some of them
Who’d come to know his wicked ways.
But we still loved him all those days.
Despite his growly, cranky soul
Left in my heart’s a sad sad hole.
